We will accept any camera or interchangeable camera lens in working condition—mirrorless, DSLR, SLR, point and shoot, action, film or other. It just has to be working.

You may trade-in one (I) working camera or lens for each eligible Z series product purchased. Multiple trade-ins cannot be applied to a single Z series product purchase.

No. Only eligible Z series cameras and lenses are included in this program.

There is no “blue book” for used cameras or lenses. However, we endeavor to determine fair trade-in values based on the used camera and lens market. If your camera is on the online trade-in form, you can look up an approximate trade-in value. The condition and age of your camera or lens will also affect the value of your trade-in.

We will endeavor to send you a quote within 1-2 business days after you submit your information for a quote.

If, after receipt and inspection of your trade-in, Nikon finds your trade-in is not in the condition you listed, Nikon will send you a revised quote with a trade-in value that is less than the amount shown on your original quote.

If you do not agree with the lower amount, you may, within 5 business days after receiving the revised quote, return your new Z series product for a full refund. After we receive your return, we will return your trade-in to you. If you do not return your new Z series product within 5 business days, you are deemed to agree to the revised quote and we will credit your payment method with the lower amount and keep the trade-in.

If you agree with the lower trade-in value, let us know by return email to [email protected] and we will credit your payment method with the lower amount and keep the trade-in.

If, after receipt and inspection of your trade-in, Nikon finds your trade-in is not operating, it will not be eligible for any trade-in value, and we will notify you saying there is no trade-in value. You may then return your Z series product within 5 business days to receive a refund, and we will return your trade-in to you.

We will credit any trade-in amount to the payment method you used to purchase your new Z series product (plus bonus, if applicable).

We estimate that refunds should be issued within 5 business days after the later of receiving your trade-in, or notifying you of a revised trade-in amount and you accept it. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement.

Your purchase of an eligible Z series product must be shipped to a valid Canadian address. We cannot accept PO Boxes for a shipping address.

If Nikon reduces or eliminates the value of your trade-in amount after inspection and you elect to return your new Z series product within 5 business days, we will return your trade-in camera to you. Otherwise, trade-ins are the property of Nikon and we cannot return your trade-in to you under any circumstances, even if you return your new Z series product. By shipping the trade-in to Nikon, you are accepting the terms and conditions of this program.

Yes. Your product must have shipped to Nikon within 2 weeks of purchase of your new Z series product in order to be eligible for this trade-in program. Products shipped to Nikon outside of this timeframe are not eligible for this trade-in program and you will not be credited any trade-in value for your purchase of the Z series product.

Nikon will send you an email with a prepaid shipping label and instructions. You must pack the trade-in so that it is protected from damage during shipping. Nikon is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping.

You are responsible for deleting any images or other information from the camera, removing any memory cards and restoring the camera to factory settings. Nikon is not responsible for any loss or damage if you have not removed your personal information from your trade-in.

If you are trading in a camera, you must remove any lenses that did not come with the camera as these will not be returned to you.

By shipping us your trade-in, you are representing and warranting to us that you own the trade-in or are authorized by the owner to trade it in.

No, in order to protect your shipment Nikon requires you to sign for your package at delivery.

Nikon Store determines its trade-in amount in its sole discretion and Nikon Store’s trade-in amount may vary according to the condition and age of the trade-in. To be eligible for a trade-in amount, the consumer purchaser must trade in one operating camera or lens to the Nikon Store for each new Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens purchased. Trade-in amounts are not cash equivalents, may not be redeemed for cash, and are available only for the purchase of a new Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens. Trade-in amounts are cancelled and forfeited if the Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens is returned for any reason or cause whatsoever. Trade-in camera or lens must be surrendered at the time of trade-in (physical receipt by the Nikon Store or written or electronic notification from the carrier is considered an act of surrender).

Estimated trade-in amounts are available by submitting information about your trade-in to Nikon at Nikon.ca. Actual trade-in amount will be determined and communicated to the consumer purchaser by email after their purchase of the Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens. If the actual trade-in amount is below the estimated trade-in amount, the purchaser can elect to accept the lower amount, or alternately elect to return the Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens for a full refund, provided the Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens is shipped to Nikon within 5 business days after the consumer purchaser’s receipt of the email containing the actual trade-in amount. After such 5-business day period, the actual trade-in amount is deemed final and binding. Trade-ins become the property of Nikon and will not be returned to purchasers for any reason. Multiple trade-in amounts cannot be applied towards the purchase of the same Nikon Z series Camera or Nikkor Z series Lens. There is no responsibility whatsoever on the part of Nikon for any images stored in a traded-in camera memory or memory card left in a traded-in camera.
